Free knitting pattern: Sage balaclava

Skill level: intermediate
Knitted: in the round
You need:
Worsted (9 wpi) yarn such as Grignasco Loden about 100-150g or 240-360 yards in two colors (1/3 CC and 2/3 MC)
Double pointed knitting needles US 6 (4 mm) or to obtain gauge 4” x 4” = 20 sts x 34 rows (in garter stitch)
12” or 16” long circular knitting needles in the same size as your double pointed needles
Knitting stitches used:
St(s) – stitches
RS and WS – right and wrong side
K – knit
P –purl
Kfb – knit in front and back of stitch
K2tog – knit two stitches together
Ssk – slip slip knit
MC – main color yarn
CC – contrast color yarn
